I think the NFL has its hand's full. It is important too keep football a contact sport but it is difficult to create a perfect work environment. These players are supposed to be protected by the NFL, and when you have players dropping like flies it is a matter you want to solve quickly. I think the NFL will implement rules on hits like the one above in the future. It is just unfortunate that so many had to suffer knee injuries that are sometimes very hard to recover from.
